In Israel, approximately 2% of children in boarding schools are adopted and have been abandoned twice: both by their biological parents and by their adoptive parents. The film follows the story of Hanna Star, who has been living for the past six years in Israeli boarding schools. Now, nearing 18, after another fierce argument with her adoptive parents, she is determined to discover the truth about her real roots. In order to find her biological mother in Romania, Hanna uses a private investigator. In her search for her true identity and following the unexpected discoveries, Hanna struggles between past and present, between her biological mother and her adopting mother, while in the background she must graduate from her studies in the boarding school and enlist in the Israeli army.
