High school students are invited to morning screenings of the world’s most recent documentaries at Cinema Elvire Popesco. After each screening, a festival guest - film director, producer or an expert in the area addressed by the film - will draw from the documentary and debate human rights related issues with the students. These events offer young people the access to information as well as the context for critically analysing the knowledge that comes their way. The debates will cultivate youngsters’ honesty, clear mind and enthusiasm and encourage them to express their opinions, in the attempt to develop their civic spirit.

The screening on Saturday, the 22nd of March, is dedicated to the film Yes We Can!, directed by Tedy Necula. The film talks about Zburd, a Romanian educational initiative that has proved its efficiency. Zburd-Education through coaching is an innovative project, successfully implemented by the ROI Association during 2012-2013, which improved the graduation rate in five high schools, strengthening the student-teacher-parent relationship. Teachers and students are invited to join the screening and the follow-up discussion with the initiators of the project and the film team alike and see how they can use their positive energy to reform the Romanian school system.
