In January 2015, Joseph Kabila, the president of the Democratic Republic of Congo, tried to pass an amendment to the constitution which would have allowed him to run for a third presidential mandate. The film follows the desperate efforts of the activists rallying to prevent such a constitutional infringement in a country where the militarised powers-that-be don’t fight back with tear gas, but with war ammunition.
