Go home, Ivan, Natasha is waiting for you. / Go home, Ivan, girls don’t like you here. / Go home, Ivan, and don’t come back anywhere near.
On the 28th of October, the anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia, filmmaker Peter Kerekes visits a former teacher, born on the same day. They eat cake and talk about the split of Czechoslovakia. Kerekes wants to make a film about his dream of inviting a foreign army to occupy Czechoslovakia. Now that the Russians have failed, perhaps he could find some nicer invaders for his country. A brilliant sample of the Kerekes brand of dark humour.
