Performance art lives on the boundary between art and non-art. A performance is a uniquely constructed moment when life itself becomes art. Its main material is the human body in space and time. ‘It’s not a painting you can hang on the wall and look at it tomorrow,’ as Macrina Abramovic put it. 
One snowy morning, 15 women dressed in traditional Afghan mourning costumes appear in a public space in Kabul known as a former location of mass executions by the Taliban. They are protesting for women’s rights to education. But how comprehensible can such a performance be to eyes not accustomed to protesting as an act of freedom? 
 
The film will screen with Dangerous Acts Starring the Unstable Elements of Belarus.
