The Irish West Coast creates the scene for this humoristic documentary.The main character is Jimmy, middleaged and lonely. Of earthly creatures seen from his window are an equally lonely cow and a dog whom Jimmy confides in. The bachelor would like a woman to share his life and consequently looks up a matchmaker, who dutifully asks him about his wishes and preferences. Jimmy bides his time, fantasizes, chats with his batchelor friends, ask God for advice and build endless stonewalls while humming It's Now or Never. Then, one day, this rugged man gets a telephone call from the matchmaker.
