A portrait of Naples, a trip through characters and environments that show the complex diversity of this southern metropolis. Filmed as a documentary and intertwined with fictional episodes, the film takes us from the narrow jail cells of the women's jail in Pozzuoli, to the alleys of the Spanish district, from the sails of Scampia and the neighborhood watch to the charming park of Vesuvius. Abel Ferrara's “Napoli, Napoli, Napoli”, is not only an image of the city itself, but a deep sight into its humanity: vital and brutal, passionate and cruel, all at the same time.
