For the last 50 years, the military regime in Burma has killed thousands of people and destroyed any form of democratic expression. Former soldier in the Burmese army, Myo Myint took part in the horrors of a cruel and senseless internal war, was left without a leg and without a hand, has joined the democratic movement led by Aung San Suu Kyi (winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991 ) and the military regime that he stopped believing in has thrown him in jail where he was tortured for 15 years. After much suffering, with charisma and the smile of a free man, the burmese soldier tells his incredible story with doubt that Burma will become a democratic country in the near future.
