After the civil war of Sierra Leone ended, Issa Sesay, the military commander of the revolutionary movement was indicted by the Special Court of Sierra Leone to 52 year of detention for crimes against humanity.
The documentary deals with Sesay`s trial where one hand the accusation brings forth the shocking testimonies of witnesses and victims and on the other hand defense pleads not guilty since Sesay was the one that began the process of disarmament and made the first steps towards peace and he should not be made scapegoat and therefore an bad example would be set for all countries where civil war is ongoing.
