Bogota has the highest crime rate in Columbia and day by day you can come across all sorts of people accused of petty crimes, for which they risk several years in prison. The Columbian judicial system is very strict and applies drastic punishments for minor felonies, like stealing a cell phone or selling counterfeit CD’s. In such cases, the only solution is admitting to being guilty in hopes of receiving a lighter punishment. The documentary tries to catch a day at court, where lawyers try to help defendants who are either drug addicts, homeless people, unemployed, or coming from families with many mouths to feed.
