What happened to the “new man”, the man of the socialist system that kept planning a great future quinquennium after quinquennium? The director Stan Neumann found this “new man” in leading positions of large corporations and banks, as a business man and industrialist with a good grasp of the rules of capitalism. Both in Romania and in Moldavia, the political, economical and moral transition seems to be working smoothly for some of the “former”, whose metamorphosis and adaptability make up at the least an interesting human performance/spectacle.
