Barely arrived immigrants and social workers are caught on camera in a feat of strength in the daily routine of a municipal centre that provides shelter. Families that are full of hope but frightened of what they have left behind in Ethiopia, Cecenia, India, Sri Lanka, Congo or Mongolia, arrive in Paris, with or without any stocks, with or without ID, by truck or by plane, without even knowing their itinerary or any other essential piece of information. The documentary swings between the employees overwhelmed by the large number of files, problems and misunderstandings and the overwhelmed newcomers who face the administrative system along with its complicated procedures.
